  • operations Manager
  • with FIEGE in Marklkofen since 2015

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN WORKING AT FIEGE?

I have been working at FIEGE in Marklkofen since 2015. Initially, I was a shift supervisor with the additional function as a management representative, since February 2019 I am working in my operations manager function.

HOW DID YOU BECOME AWARE OF FIEGE BACK THEN?

At that time, I was looking for a change and then read about FIEGE online. A new location opened up and I was able to be part of it from the very beginning – we built something new.

HOW DID THE PREPARATION FOR YOUR POSITION LOOK LIKE?

My job contract started on August 1. A few days before, I already had visited the head office in Greven. There I was introduced to the Quality Team and they told me a lot about FIEGE and the processes. During the first three weeks, I underwent an intensive training phase from our customer to get to know the core processes and be prepared for the opening of the branch. After that, the real work started.

WHAT WAS THE FURTHER DEVELOPMENT UP TO YOUR CURRENT POSITION?

In my position as the shift leader with the additional function as management representative, we were able to implement the management system very well. In 2017, I then completed the further training of the FIEGE Professional Programme with the prospect of being able to take on another task. In February 2019, I was then promoted to Operational Manager. Since then I have also been Deputy Branch Manager.

COULD YOU BRIEFLY DESCRIBE YOUR CURRENT TASKS?

My responsibilities include the technical and disciplinary management of 50 employees, monitoring and improving work processes and the management system. I am also the contact person for our customers for all operational issues. My allday-life consists out of various tasks – each day is different.

I like coming to work because my work is valued. Honestly, I have to say we have a positive atmosphere in our team.

WAS THERE A PROJECT THAT YOU FOUND PARTICULARLY EXCITING?

There are many. The most exciting with the greatest challenge was the project “Implementation FIEGE Business Intelligence Portal (FBIP)”. Over a period of almost two years, we developed and stabilized new functions together with the IT department, which now can be used by other FIEGE branches.

WHY DO YOU LIKE WORKING AT FIEGE?

I like coming to work because my work is valued. Honestly, I have to say we have a positive atmosphere in our team. We work together as a team and not against each other. Also, exciting projects are always on the agenda.

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE THE WORKING ATMOSPHERE AT FIEGE?

It is a family-run company. When the management comes to our branch in Marklkofen, it is always very pleasant. There simply is an appreciation towards every single employee. Between the management level and the employees there is no gap like you know it from other companies.

WHAT DISTINGUISHES FIEGE FROM YOUR PREVIOUS EMPLOYERS?

Definitely the esteem and family atmosphere.
