FIEGE is set to build another logistics centre in the industrial estate on Münster-Hessenweg. Right next to the existing healthcare location, a modern single-user centre with more than 10,000 square metres of logistics space is being built. The new building designed by FIEGE Real Estate caters to the specific requirements of the pharma industry and scores with energy-efficient building services.
FIEGE adds more vehicles to its e-fleet. Five new Mercedes-Benz eActros 600 trucks are joining its fleet of 20 heavy electric trucks. With this step, the Greven logistics company is further growing its zero-emission transportation offer for long-haul traffic.
The logistics company FIEGE will be handling fulfilment for Nø Cosmetics. Since spring, the conscious beauty brand from Dormagen in Germany has had the contract logistics expert from Greven handle its warehousing, value-added services and Germany-wide distribution. FIEGE is housing these operations at its Emmerich branch.
The logistics service provider FIEGE regularly supports children’s and youth welfare organisations by donating mobile devices that are no longer needed by the 150-year-old family business. The most recent donation of laptops and smartphones went to the Network of Social Therapy Centres in Münster.
Stephan Wittenbrink has been called to the Executive Board of the FIEGE Group and will succeed Peter Scherbel as Chief Operating Officer. In Wittenbrink, FIEGE opted for an in-house candidate to take over from Scherbel who, after 14 years on the Executive Board of FIEGE and a total of 35 years of service with the company, is leaving his senior position at his own request.
The logistics company FIEGE from Greven continues to drive the expansion of its charging infrastructure within its international network of locations. At its location in Oftringen in the Swiss Canton of Aargau, FIEGE launched a charging station with ten charge points for battery-powered trucks. In Switzerland alone, the growing fleet of electric vehicles by the contract logistics specialist already consists of eight vehicles.
FIEGE is upgrading its logistics centres into small, sustainable power plants. Energy hubs are to be created by drawing on large-scale PV arrays, energy storage systems and charging parks which will make FIEGE more independent from the energy market and resilient against outside influences.
