Our Energy Management at FIEGE
Energy procurement: Through its central energy procurement function, FIEGE organizes all activities related to the tendering and conclusion of energy supply contracts. Electricity that FIEGE is not yet able to produce itself is sourced in Germany exclusively from renewable energy sources with corresponding guarantees of origin since 2022.
Energy law & compliance: The central energy management team provides comprehensive support to FIEGE sites in meeting all legal obligations and reporting requirements, as well as in achieving certification in accordance with ISO 50001.
Energy monitoring: Energy monitoring records and consolidates all energy consumption across the FIEGE Group and forms the basis for all sustainability and energy reporting. Going beyond legal requirements, it enables detailed analyses from which key figures, optimization potential and energy efficiency measures are derived.
Energy efficiency projects: The savings potential identified through energy monitoring is transformed into tangible projects. The central energy management team supports these projects throughout planning, implementation, acceptance and ongoing follow‑up.
