Dear friends and partners,

LogiMAT in Stuttgart, Europe's largest trade fair for intralogistics solutions and process management, has become as much a part of spring for logistics enthusiasts as raclette is for New Year's Eve. Last week it was that time again: under the motto "Passion for Solutions", 1.625 manufacturers from 40 countries presented ideas and solutions for greater efficiency and sustainability in intralogistics on more than 125.000 square metres of exhibition space.

As a company, we were of course there to gain our own impression of the latest trends and product developments, but above all to work with our customers to filter out which products and solutions could harbour real added value. Our colleague Jens Veltel, Director Warehouse Automation at FIEGE, summarises his impressions of LogiMAT 2025 for you in a short video – feel free to have a look.

Our logistics centre in Apfelstädt near Erfurt is a location that has already implemented many of the automation solutions that can be admired at LogiMAT. In our "Three questions for" section, branch manager Markus Steinmann provides a quick initial overview. If you would like to find out more and see one of the largest Autostores in Germany live, for example, you are welcome to take an exclusive tour of the site at any time. Please feel free to contact us!

Alternatively, we are of course also looking forward to a digital meeting. On 2 April at 2:30 p.m., we will be hosting a Fast & Forward online session on the topic of automation, including a LogiMAT recap. Get in touch with our experts and find out which trends you shouldn't miss and how we can automate your logistics and take it to the next level. We look forward to your participation.

With best regards

Three questions to Markus Steinmann

What makes the Apfelstädt site so special?

The Apfelstädt site is characterised by highly automated and efficient warehouse processes. We rely on state-of-the-art technologies such as robots, pocket sorters and fully automated packaging systems and are constantly developing further. This means we are always at the cutting edge. With over 30 years of history, the site is a prime example of innovation and automation. Thanks to its central location in the heart of Germany, it also offers optimal transport links and perfect connections to the most important logistics hubs such as DHL and Hermes. This enables us to ensure 24-hour delivery throughout Germany in the CEP sector. Since 2010, our logistics centre has therefore increasingly become an e-commerce location.

Which industries and customers do you specialise in?

We serve customers from various industries and develop customised solutions that are precisely tailored to our customers' needs. The industry itself is not so decisive. Among other things, we offer comprehensive omnichannel solutions for customers in the fashion and lifestyle sector and cover a wide range of consumer goods for customers in the consumer goods sector. We can also handle certified and efficient logistics solutions for hazardous substances and WGK-classified goods.

What drives you when it comes to automation?

Automation is a key driver for us to increase the efficiency and quality of our logistics processes. For example, with over 270,000 bins and 160 robots, we have one of the most efficient autostore systems in Europe. This not only creates cost benefits for our customers and reduces their space requirements, but also ensures more satisfied end customers.
