This location lies east of the Netherlands, close to the cities of Osnabrück and Münster. Of great importance to the history of Fiege, it is now set to expand further. Currently still spanning around 90,000 square metres, the multi-user centre accommodates many of our clients. Fiege Real Estate will have added a further 30,000 square metres of modern warehouse space here by the end of 2021. Owing to its location, the Ibbenbüren site is ideal to supply Germany’s northern economic regions as well as the corresponding southern regions all the way to the Ruhr district. Once completed, Ibbenbüren, with approximately 120,000 square metres of logistics space, will be one of Fiege’s five largest locations.
On a roughly 10 hectares-large piece of land in the Römerallee industrial estate in Zülpich, west of Cologne and Bonn is where Fiege will build a new multi-user centre with around 50,000 square metres of logistics space and an additional 2,000 square metres for offices and recreational areas. The Cologne bay area as a regional conurbation with above-average potential for growth has great appeal for the logistics sector. Construction of the multi-user centre started in August 2020 and is scheduled for completion in summer 2021. The facility is designed to fully accommodate multiple different tenants and is divided into five units that are partially equipped to store hazardous substances, plus two three-storey building structures for offices that are separate from the warehouse. The biggest account at the location will be Dräger, a leading international enterprise in the field of medical and safety technology products. The new logistics property is to be certified according to German Sustainable Building Council standards. It features a high-efficiency LED lighting system, a photovoltaic unit, EV charging infrastructure, and a comprehensive building management system.
A new multi-user logistics centre is being built in the greater Hanover region. On a plot of roughly 65,000 square metres in the industrial estate east of the City of Peine, Fiege is building a multi-user facility with around 30,000 square metres of warehouse space. With convenient access to the seaports of Bremerhaven, Hamburg, and Wilhelmshaven and located centrally at the intersection of national and international transport links, the Hanover region has great appeal for the logistics industry. The building permit has been applied for and construction is expected to begin in February 2021. The multi-tenant facility is scheduled for completion at the end of 2021. The property is divided into three warehouse segments and is supplemented by a separate three-storey office building. The new logistics hub is to be certified by the German Sustainable Building Council and, next to LED lighting, also features EV charging stations.
Construction for a new Fiege multi-user centre started in Gengenbach in the state of Baden-Württemberg in the summer of 2020. Located near the German French border in-between Strasbourg, Freiburg, and Stuttgart, a logistical facility will be built on a 73,000 square metres-large plot of land set in Kinzigpark. The facility will provide around 40,000 square metres of warehouse space that is divided into four warehouse segments. It is complemented by a separate three-storey office building. One of the tenants whose logistics Fiege will oversee at the facility is a major tyre maker. The logistics property will go into operation in summer 2021. The new building is to be certified according to German Sustainable Building Council standards. Next to a primary building management system that ensures an optimal trade-spanning operational management, it will also be equipped with LED lighting, a photovoltaic installation, and EV charging points.
