B2B and B2C shipments from Erfurt-based logistics centre
Erfurt, 29 November 2019. Love toys, lingerie or body care products: the e-tailer AMORELIE has partnered with Fiege for the fulfilment of its logistics activities. AMORELIE merchandise will be shipped from Fiege’s logistics centre in Erfurt. Fiege will be supplying both B2B clients of AMORELIE as well as customers buying love toys directly from AMORELIE’s online shop or an online marketplace.
“Our Erfurt logistics centre provides ideal structures for this type of omni-channelling”, Christoph Mangelmans, Managing Director Omnichannel Retail Fiege says. The centrality of the Fiege location facilitates “very late cut-off times so that orders placed by the early evening hours will reach the buyer the next day”. Erfurt will even be able to cater flexibly to AMORELIE’s anticipated strong growth. “We are specialised in handling the merchandise of our clients through different retail channels with a high quality of service for the end customer. This business forms a further component in the expansion of our international omnichannel activities”, Mangelmans says.
Over a very short period of time, AMORELIE has grown from being a genuine e-tailer to an omnichannel vendor offering a broad portfolio of both private label and third-party brand products. “To meet these clearly more complex logistical requirements we sought a fulfilment provider capable of rendering this range of services at a single, central location”, Max Mittelmaier, Director Operations at AMORELIE, says. “Within the framework of the call for tender Fiege convinced us with its locational factors as well as experience in B2C and B2B fulfilment. Ultimately, this decision came about because of Fiege’s outstanding digital competence and the feeling that we were on the same page all the time”, Mittelmaier says, adding: “July’s go-live proved to be a smooth start after a project phase of less than six months and reassured us in having made the right decision.”
