FIEGE controls the logistical processes of several manufacturers under the single roof of a joint convergence system. The central advantages of this system include reduction of ramp contacts and the efficient utilisation of transport capacities for an optimised delivery process via our network:
- Deliveries of manufacturers are consolidated and taken to the Transshipment Points (TSPs)
- Converged forwarding of the goods to the destination TSPs or directly to the recipients of the goods
- or Cross Docking the goods at the destination TSP
- Starting from the destination TSP the recipients are supplied within their region on the basis of a consolidated method
The integration of FIEGE into the ECR concept between manufacturer and retail trade means a further step in the direction of rationalising the entire supply chain.
