Many employees of the FIEGE Group are dedicated to a specific cause in their free time and work on an honorary basis with their private means for a range of organisations whose activities benefit social projects or the conservation of nature and the environment. To support this commitment and to continue to motivate employees in pursuing these projects, the Josef Fiege Foundation participates by funding projects supported by its employees.
Examples of employee projects that were supported:
Augustinianum high school in Greven
Our employee, Maike Rüdingloh, a former student at the Gymnasium Augustinianum, was greatly committed to the social learning project at her former school. The Josef Fiege Foundation donated around EUR 5,000 for this. These funds supported a range of programmes, including "Fair Mobil", for all seven classes of level 6; the expansion of the physical education offer and the lunch-time care as well as sports helpers for PE breaks, which is to be enlarged to include the west building.
Completely new and in co-operation with the Fiege Foundation is the Innovation Award/Sponsorship Prize for Social Learning which is bestowed once a year on particularly dedicated students.
