Foundation History

The world would be a better place if everybody pulled their weight within their dedicated surroundings.

Adolph Kolping (1813-1865)

Josef Fiege junior (photo), representing the third generation of the company and father of the current owners, laid the founding stone with his long-range transport business for today's globally operating logistics company, Fiege. With the company's growth in size came an added responsibility - a responsibility which Fiege was willing and able to assume for society and for the environment. The company's principles define such responsibility internally. The siblings Heinz and Dr. Hugo Fiege formed the Josef Fiege Foundation in memory of their father, who had deceased at an early age, and its formation is equally an expression of their long-term commitment beyond corporate boundaries.
